Sikh Professionals Network | Developing the Next Generation

September marked the successful completion of the six-week Devanhaar Internship Programme, delivered in collaboration with De Montfort University (DMU) and supported through the Sikh Professionals Network (SPN).
The programme gave students the opportunity to gain practical, real-world experience across Devanhaar projects, including the Sikh Graduate Programme, Sikh Family Initiative and Punjab Education Support Project.
Working 18.5 hours per week, interns took on meaningful responsibilities while developing valuable professional and interpersonal skills. One particularly impactful project saw them help develop 1-to-1 English tuition for international students in Punjab, giving them the opportunity to contribute to a project with real-world impact.
“The internship was an amazing experience that gave me the chance to work on real projects, build my confidence and develop valuable professional skills, like how to use project management tools like ClickUp.”

The programme continues SPN’s commitment to connecting Sikh students and graduates with opportunities to develop their skills, gain meaningful experience and make an impact within the community.
