September saw continued growth at Devanhaar Wrestling Academy, with weekly adult sessions at Guru Nanak Gurdwara West Bromwich, silver medal success for Gaavun Singh, and plans for children's classes.
September saw the continued growth of the Devanhaar Wrestling Academy, with weekly adult wrestling sessions running every Monday and Wednesday, 7:00pm to 8:30pm, and attracting up to 25 participants per session.
The academy has now moved to Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Edward Street, West Bromwich, providing a regular space for participants aged 15+ to train, develop their wrestling skills and progress together.
A standout moment this month came from one of the academy’s younger participants, Gaavun Singh, who secured second place and a silver medal at the GNP wrestling tournament, a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the progress being made through consistent training.
Looking ahead, the team is exploring the introduction of children’s wrestling classes, opening up opportunities for the next generation to get involved.
